Although most won’t be gathering around a bonfire to ward off ghosts, a killer amount of Halloween celebrations and events can be found around the county for community members and their kids to have a fa-boo-lous Friday together.
If you’re planning to carve out the entire day for tricks and treats, stop by the Bonner County Daily Bee office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for some sugar-loaded goodies. Bonus points if you’re dressed in a costume!
Location: 310 Church St., Sandpoint
Luther Park will also have a boo-nch of treats, with a “haunted hayride” operating around the property. The family-friendly event will be open from 3-6 p.m. Costumes and candy bags are encouraged.
Location: 510 S. Olive Ave, Sandpoint
The Sandpoint Lions Club will host its second annual trunk or treat celebration from 4-7 p.m. With a frightful number of goodies, visitors will be welcome to candy, fresh popcorn and warm beverages. The event is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift to support the start of the 2025 Toys for Tots drive.
Location: 609 S. Ella Ave., Sandpoint
What’s better than a spooky fun costume? A spooky fun costume with skates.
Strap on some blades and embrace the cold weather with a Spooky Costume Skate at The Pond. For skating sessions at 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., community members of all ages are welcome to festively skate. At the 8:30 p.m. session, it turns into an adult only skate. Tickets are $10 for kids under 18, and $15 for adults over 18. Winners for the best costume will be chosen at each skate session.
