50th NRA Finals at Majestic Valley Arena

KALISPELL — The 50th Annual Northern Rodeo Association Finals are back at the Majestic Valley Arena, with performances set for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.


The top 10 in bareback, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, tie-down roping, saddle bronc, team roping (header and heeler), barrel racing and bull riding from the NRA’s regular season have all qualified for the NRA Finals. Leaders in the events are: Trevar McAllister, Ronan, bareback (Trapper McAllister is second); Justus Peterson, Dillon, steer wrestling; Molly Salmond, Choteau, breakaway; Jade Gardner, Ballantine, tie-down roping; Colton Haase, East Helena, saddle bronc; Miles Kobold, Huntley, team roping header; Matt Schieck, Floresville, team roping heeler; Lisa Warfield, Helena, barrel racing; and Caden Fitzpatrick, Polson, bull riding. 


Several Flathead-area cowboys are ranked in the NRA’s top 10: Azreal Lara of Columbia Falls in bareback; Kyle and Craig Bagnell of Polson in tie-down roping; Ashley Schad and Molly Fisher Whitefish in barrel racing; Octavius Christianson of Columbia Falls in bull riding; and Koy McAllister of Polson in saddle bronc. 


Beyond the Flathead, LeRoy Eash of Fortine and Jason Colclough of Libby are 4-5 in the saddle bronc standings. 


The Finals began Thursday; Friday is Family Night and Saturday is Championship Night. 


At 1 p.m. on Saturday, the Junior Finals will be held. A complete schedule for the weekend is also available to view on the NRA website.
