Search continues for missing teen, seeking public assistance

SANDPOINT — A Sandpoint family is continuing its search for 16-year-old Bailey Mohler after her disappearance last Friday in the Karebear Lane, N. Sandpoint area.  

Mohler, a 5-foot 1-inch-tall girl weighing 97 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, was last seen Friday, Aug. 29, at around 10 a.m. near her family’s residence. She was seen wearing black shorts and a black tank top with white and black slip-on shoes. She does not have a working phone with her.  

According to Idaho Missing Persons Clearhouse, Mohler has been listed as an endangered missing person since Aug. 30.  

Family members are urging anyone with information about Mohler’s whereabouts to contact the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office directly at 208-265-5525.  

Search efforts have been underway, through the organized Facebook group “Help Find Bailey,” since her disappearance. The group has drawn more than 1,500 members since its Aug. 31 creation.  

According to several Facebook comments, family and community members request that individuals be weary of spam information spread out about the missing teen, and notably share that Mohler is not a runaway, as reported by BCSO officials.
