Bigfork volleyball finishes second in pool play

The Bigfork Valkyries opened the volleyball season with a strong showing at the NWA/SWA Tip-Off Tournament in Polson, finishing fourth overall after a hard-fought placement match against Hamilton on Saturday.
The Valkyries split the first two sets with the Broncs, dropping the opener 25-19 before battling back to even the match with a 25-22 win. Hamilton pulled away in the decisive third set, 15-9, to claim third place, while Bigfork settled for fourth.
Bigfork also performed well in pool play, posting a 4-3 record and finishing second among Northwest A teams behind host Polson. Their positive set differential (+32) highlighted consistent play across the tournament, with the Vals edging out Whitefish and Columbia Falls in the standings.
