The Arlee Warriors opened their 2025 football season on the road Friday night, facing a tough Seeley-Swan squad that struck early and often in a 50-6 decision.
The Blackhawks leaned on a powerful ground game in the first quarter, racking up four rushing touchdowns to take a commanding 28-0 lead.
Arlee continued to battle, and their persistence paid off in the third quarter when quarterback Keelan Dupuis connected with Kade Dupuis-Pablo for a 14-yard touchdown strike. That trimmed the margin briefly to 36-6.
Seeley-Swan, however, answered with big plays of their own. Quarterback Blake Irwin found Cash Schuster for a 40-yard touchdown late in the third, then added a two-point pass to Noah Stone after another Zurmuehlen run to put the game out of reach.
