The Ronan Chiefs opened their football season Friday night with a tough opponent, Hamiltion, falling 51-0 to the Southwest A Broncs.

Hamilton jumped ahead early, scoring 21 points in the first quarter and matching that total in the second to build a 42-0 halftime lead. The Broncs added a field goal in the third and capped the scoring with a touchdown in the fourth.

Despite the score, the Chiefs found positives on offense. Quarterback Aaron Luke completed 7 of 11 passes for 47 yards, with sophomore Austin Schall hauling in two catches for 38 yards. Ethan Day added four receptions for eight yards, while Zander Bennett caught one pass for a yard. On the ground, Layton Burland led Ronan with 40 yards on eight carries.

Defensively, Burland and Schall paced the Chiefs with multiple tackles.
