Polson girls soccer falls to Park

The Polson girls soccer team opened their season Saturday, Aug. 30, with a tough 2-1 road loss to Park. Madison York provided the Lady Pirates’ lone goal in the first half, finishing on an assist from Vivian Grainey.
Despite the defeat, goalkeeper Olivia Ramirez shined in net, recording 20 saves to keep Polson within striking distance throughout the match. Park outshot Polson 22-7, but the Lady Pirates battled to the end to stay in the contest.
