Does the idea of a whole bunch of free music concerts during the summer months get you excited? It should. And all you need to do to make sure it happens is to cast your vote from now until Sept. 15 by going to www.levitt.org/vote. It’s that simple.

Let us explain. The Levitt Foundation is a national social impact fund dedicated to music, public space, and community building. Pend Oreille Arts Council is vying to become a finalist to receive the Levitt Music Series Grant. If awarded, this grant would allow POAC and Mattox Farm Productions to expand on Sandpoint’s beloved Summer Music Series, which has brought so much joy to the community over the last six years.

“This opportunity could provide up to $120,000 over three years, 2026 to 2028, to fund a series of seven to 10 free outdoor concerts each year,” POAC’s Executive Director Tone Stolz said.

Stolz said that the proposal POAC submitted to the Levitt Foundation would provide for a diverse lineup of professional musicians across multiple genres.

She added, “We are excited about the possibility of bringing even more free concerts to Sandpoint. While there are many opportunities to experience music in town, the cost can be a barrier for many families. Our goal is to create a vibrant, accessible space where everyone can enjoy live music without the expense.”

Vote for Sandpoint from Sept. 5, 10 a.m. to Sept. 15, 5 p.m. at levitt.org/vote or text "Sandpoint" to 877-409-5525. Each vote is crucial to advancing community-driven projects.

Join us for a voting kick-off party at Eichardt’s on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m., featuring live music from The Whags, a Seattle Americana Jam Band, starting at 8 p.m. Let’s celebrate and rally for a great cause!
