Gove, Bomar qualify for Senior PGA Professional Championship
SHORELINE, Wash. — Jeff Gove, director of instruction at The Idaho Club outside Sandpoint, won the Senior PGA Professional Championship on Friday by one stroke over PGA Professional Ryan Malby of Kalispell, Mont.
Gove shot a 74-66—140, 4 under par at the Seattle Golf Club.
In addition to Gove, Malby, Joey Carranza of Overlake Golf and Country Club, Mitch Lowe of Glendoveer Golf Club, Brian Thornton of Meridian Valley Country Club, Bob Rannow of Ocean Dunes Golf Club and Billy Bomar of Bomar Putting all advanced directly to the 37th Senior PGA Professional Championship, October 23-26 at PGA Golf Club in Port St Lucie, Fla. Gove and Jeff Coston of Semiahmoo G&CC were exempt prior to this championship based on past play at the National level.
Bomar, former co-owner of Prairie Falls Golf Club in Post Falls, tied for seventh with a 73-74—147, 3 over par.
David Christensen, from The Golf Club at Black Rock, finished tied for 16th with a 79-74—153, 9 over par.
Additionally, top finishers at the 37th Senior PGA Professional Championship will earn a berth in the 2026 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship.
