PREP ROUNDUP: Coeur d'Alene boys, girls win at Farragut meet

ATHOL — Coeur d’Alene junior Wyatt Carr won the boys varsity race in the Timberlake Farragut Invitational, finishing in 15 minutes, 36.70 seconds to lead the Vikings to the team title at Farragut State Park on Saturday.
Coeur d’Alene sophomores Wyatt Morgenstern (fourth) and Rowan Henry (fifth), and senior Mitchell Rietze (seventh), also finished in the top 10 for Coeur d’Alene, which finished with 33 points.
Coeur d’Alene Charter senior Annabelle Carr won the girls varsity race in 18:53.
Coeur d’Alene senior Olivia May (second), freshman Victoria Howard (fourth) and senior Dakota Keyworth (sixth) finished in the top 10 for the Viking girls, who won the girls team title with 54 points.

Camryn Woodman had 10 kills, Alaina Freed two blocks for Lake City (1-3).
“Really great battle against an extremely talented Mt. Spokane team,” Lake City coach Michelle Kleinberg said. “Another loss stings but the improvements we’re making are exciting. Very proud of this team and its fight.”
Lake City plays host to Sandpoint on Tuesday.

RATHDRUM — Senior forward Ethan Hunt notched a hat trick for the Hawks in a nonleague win over the Tigers at Sunrise Rotary Field.
“It was good to have him put the ball in the back of the net,” Lakeland coach Nick Haynes said. “He’s our team captain and leader and he was finally able to find the back of the net and get going a little bit.”
Lakeland (2-2) faces Sandpoint on Tuesday at War Memorial Field in Sandpoint.

RATHDRUM — Senior Paige Rose had a goal and two assists for the Hawks in a nonleague win over the Tigers at Sunrise Rotary Field.
“Paige is a strong player, and we had her up top today,” Lakeland coach Kevin Rogge said. “She’s really good at distributing the ball and did a good job of that today. As a team, it was our best day of moving the ball. We were playing at each other’s feet and getting crosses were huge and the reason we had so many shots on goal.”

MOSCOW — Coeur d’Alene junior Andrew Davis notched wins in the 500-yard freestyle and 200 freestyle, as well as winning legs in the 200 freestyle relay and 400 freestyle relay to help lead the Vikings to the boys team title at the Icebreaker meet at the University of Idaho Pool.
Lake City senior Quinn Taylor had wins in the 100 freestyle, 200 IM and 400 freestyle relay, leading the Timberwolves to the girls team title.
