MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake city officials are inviting residents to learn about the city’s comprehensive plan and the process of updating it at a community forum at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Moses Lake Civic Center, 401 S. Balsam St.

The comprehensive plan serves as a map for future city growth. Its elements include land use and zoning, housing, utilities, transportation and capital facilities. City officials can add topics such as parks and recreation and economic development.

The plan must be completed and adopted sometime in 2027, according to a city press release. This update will consider growth over a 20-year time frame.

Community involvement is sought as part of the process. Thursday’s meeting will include introductions to the people working on the plan and how residents can provide their feedback.
