Libby's Farmer ninth at Flathead Invitational

Capri Farmer led the way for the Libby Loggers cross country team Friday at the Flathead Invitational at Rebecca Farms.

Farmer was ninth overall in a race with several Class AA runners. Her time was 19:33.97. She was 12 seconds ahead of Polson freshman Quinn Delaney, who was 10th.

Glacier junior Lauren Bissen won the race in 18:12.85. The Wolfpack were third overall in the team standings.

The Libby girls squad was 14th overall. Sophomore Alli Clemons was Libby’s second-highest finisher. She was 60th overall in 22:08.74. Junior Hailey Misner was 93rd, sophomore Lillian Bailey was 128th and freshman Rylee Thompson was 130th.

In the boys race, junior Cody Watson led the Loggers with a 34th place finish. His time was 16:54.65. The Loggers were 18th as a team. Junior Colter Anderson was 109th overall and classmate Samuel Erickson was 120th. Sophomore Jake Rusdal was 126th, fellow sophomore Ignacio Guerra was 164th and Levi, also a sophomore, was 178th.

Glacier’s Owen Thiel won the race in 15:06.36.

Bozeman, with three of the top four finishers, cruised to a team trophy win.

The Logger runners will be back in action today at Indian Springs Golf Course in Eureka and Saturday at East Glacier.
