MOSCOW — Sophomores Ben Focke and Ella Wilson earned medalist honors to lead the Coeur d’Alene Viking boys and girls golf teams to championships at the Moscow Invitational on Monday at the University of Idaho Golf Course.
Focke shot a 4-under-par 68 for Coeur d’Alene’s boys, who shot 304 to win by nine shots over Lewiston. Wilson shot a 4-over 76 for the Viking girls, who shot 325 to win by 47 strokes over Lake City.
“The kids played great on a tough course today,” Coeur d’Alene girls coach Jeff Lake said. “We are looking to keep the momentum rolling as we head to Jug Mountain (in McCall) for the Mike McCready Memorial hosted by Rocky Mountain (on Tuesday).”
