Sue Ellen Thorp, 63, passed away peacefully on Aug. 14, 2025, at her home in Kalispell.
She was born on July 7, 1962, in Whitefish and graduated from Ephrata High School in 1981. She was a caregiver at Synergy Home Care and was beloved by those she cared for. She was a member of the Kalispell Moose Lodge No. 1922 and devoted her time caring for others. Sue Ellen was married to Doug Thorp for 34 years (1983-2017). Together they raised their two children, Lisa and Craig.
Sue Ellen is survived by her children, Lisa Sanchez and Craig Thorp; her grandchildren, Azalea (20), Aden (17), Makenna (10), Blakely (9), Emma (6), and Eleanor (3), her brothers, Derrick McLauchlin and Joe McLauchlin, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helen Coverdell, father, Earl McLauchlin, mother, Norma Burns, and nephew, Bobby McLauchlin.
Sue Ellen found joy hosting, feeding, and connecting with those she loved. Her kindness and love touched many lives. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
