Briefs: Moose’s Saloon wins Buffalo Hill Ladies League title

Taking over first place for good in Week 3, the Moose’s Saloon team won Buffalo Hill’s Tuesday Night Ladies League title for 2025.
In fact the squad — captain Debbie Hadley, Tracey Frey, Beth Love, Carolyn Carlburg, Sherry Stewart, Kisa Davison and Bette Albright — clinched the top stop with three weeks left in the season.
Moose’s tallied 158 points, followed by: Dickey’s BBQ (158); Les Schwab Tires – Center Street (144); Marsh McLennan Agency (143); CityService Valcon (142); Ortho Rehab (138); Brannigan’s (137); Envoy Mortgage (117); Glacier Bank (102); Pettyjohn’s Water Store (101); TreeLine Creative (98); LC Staffing (79); and Paragon Build & Design (66).
Thirteen teams competed.
Members of runner up Dickey’s BBQ were: Mary Kruse, Patti Carlson, Katie Wills, Bonnie Haugenoe, Brenda Evans, Sunny Kang and Kirstyn Cummings.
The third-place Les Schwab Tires – Center Street team: Mitzi Hensleigh, Terry Beekman, June Benson, Carolyn Feldmann, Julie Hankinson and Susan Kiley.
Brisendine assists in Griz soccer win Sunday
MISSOULA — Reagan Brisendine, a sophomore out of Glacier High School in Kalispell, had an assist in the Montana Grizzlies’ 5-0 soccer win over Montana State-Billings on Sunday at Dornblaser Stadium.
Brisendine’s helper from the short corner set up a header by Makena Smith in the game’s fifth minute. It was Smith’s first collegiate goal.
Maddie Ditta scored twice to put the Grizzlies up 3-0 at halftime. For her efforts Ditta, a senior midfielder, was named Big Sky Conference offensive player of the week on Tuesday.
Brisendine has three assists this season for the 3-3 Grizzlies. She has one shot on goal.
Western gridder Walker takes NAIA award
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Tyler Walker, a senior defensive end out of Dillon, was named the NAIA Defensive Player of the Week Monday for his 4.5-sack performance in Montana Western’s 52-0 over MSU-Northern.
His one-week total, a school record, now leads all of NAIA; Walker had 11 tackles, six solo, and six of them for losses totaling 33 yards.
