AJ Few hired at Boise State by former Gonzaga assistant

Boise State men’s basketball coach Leon Rice has added AJ Few and Max Teems to the coaching staff, he announced.

Entering his sixth season with the team, and first in a full-time capacity, Teems will serve as Director of Video Operations & Program Logistics. Few joins the Broncos as Director of Player Personnel & Men’s Basketball BroncoPRO.

“We are extremely excited to add Max and AJ to our full-time staff,” said Rice, a former assistant at Gonzaga under Mark Few, AJ's father. “As for AJ, we’re fortunate to add a young man with an extensive and expansive basketball background and pedigree. His knowledge, experience and acumen in all facets of the game will pay dividends and make us a better program, both now and in the foreseeable future.”

Few will spearhead recruiting, aid in analytics, provide support in roster construction and serve as a liaison between men’s basketball and the department’s external affairs leadership team.

Before starting with the Broncos, Few was a graduate assistant for two seasons (2022-24) and the head video coordinator (2024-25) for Gonzaga men’s basketball. He also worked as an NBA Summer League coach for the Miami Heat in 2025.

Few attended Gonzaga, where he earned both of his degrees. He graduated in 2022 and 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and master’s in accountancy, respectively.
