Plains harriers compete at Kalispell
JOHN HAMILTON | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 8 months, 1 week AGO
Plains cross country teams competed in the Flathead Invitational in Kalispell Saturday and John Jermyn and Cord Greer led the way.
Jermyn posted a new personal best time of 16:09.50 in winning eleventh place individually in the prestigious early season race which annually attracts one of the larger fields of runners of any Montana prep regular season meet.
Not too far back in the sea of runners, Cord Greer followed Jermyn in just missing a new personal record of his own. Significantly, Jermyn is currently the No. 1 ranked Class B harrier in the state and Greer is close behind him at No. 3.
Sources indicated that all of the Plains boys ran well in Kalispell, in spite of the heat and smoke hanging over the area.
Annika Ercanback led the reduced girls team at Rebecca Farm although most of that squad has reportedly been affected by illness and injury so far this season.
Up next for Plains harriers is the Corvallis Invitational Saturday
