Saturday morning the Sting Black lost 6-1 to the Glacier Surf Soccer Club 2016 Boys Blue team, with the lone Sting goal scored by Jackson Martin. Saturday afternoon the Sting Black lost to the Spokane Shadow Academy B16 Van Der Lawson 2-0. Sunday the Sting Black beat the Spokane Legacy Soccer Academy SA B16 Olsen team 7-2 with goals scored by Jackson Martin (3), Emmett Cowan (2), Lincoln Triebwasser (1) and Oliver Lundy (1). Saturday morning the Sting Yellow team lost 5-0 to the Sandpoint Strikers FC 2016B Red team. Saturday afternoon the Sting Yellow lost 9-6 to the Spokane Shadow Academy B16/17 Folsom team, with Sting goals scored by Atlas Lepley (2), Jaxson Matheney (1), Elijah Cline (2) and Gideon Lee (1). Sunday morning’s game ended with a 7-1 loss to the BVBIA CDA U9 team, with the Sting Yellow goal scored by Jaxson Matheney. The Sting went undefeated in group play on Saturday, with a 4–2 win over Spokane Shadow Golay and a 3–1 victory against Spokane Legacy Slatter. The Sting's run ended in a semifinal match on Sunday, where the Sting fell to the Spokane Shadow Opshal 2–1. The team opened with a 4–0 clean sheet win against Sandpoint Strikers Red, followed by a 6–3 victory over Spokane Shadow Academy Sky. In the semifinals, BVB defeated the Sandpoint Strikers Black 10–2 before closing out the weekend with an 8–1 win over Sandpoint Strikers Red in the championship match. Courtesy photo The Sting Soccer Club 2013 girls went undefeated at the Pend Oreille Cup this past weekend, claiming first place in the U13 Gold Division. The team finished the tournament with a 13–2 goal differential across four matches. The Sting opened with a 4–0 win over WE Surf 12/13 Black on Friday. They followed up with a 3–2 victory against Missoula Surf 2013 on Saturday to secure a spot in the semifinals. On Sunday, the team beat Billings FC Real G2013 Gold 4–0 before defeating the Sandpoint Strikers FC 2013G 2–0 in the championship match. Kylie Lorena scored 1 goal; Presley Moreau 2 goals, Kaitlyn Keaggy 1 goal, Elle Sousley 1 goal, McKenzie Dolan 1 goal, Emily Hackett 1 goal. Saturday afternoon the Sting beat Charbonneau/Walke 8-0. Elle Sousley scored one goal, Presley Moreau 2 goals, and Mckenzy Dolan, Emily Hackett, Jillian Speelman, Kylie Lorona and Isabelle Moss one each. Sunday morning the Sting beat the Spokane Shadow 3-0. Kaitlyn Keaggy scored 2 goals and Presley Moreau scored one. In the finals Sunday afternoon, the Sting beat the Spokane Shadow 2-0, as Presley Moreau and Kylie Lorona each scored a goal.
