North Idaho Volleyball Club to put on 8-week youth clinic

SANDPOINT — North Idaho Volleyball Club, a non-profit volleyball club located in Sandpoint, will be hosting an eight-week youth clinic for boys and girls from first through sixth grade from Sept. 30 to Nov. 21.

The clinic, which will be split up into sessions of first and second graders and third through sixth graders, will take place Thursdays at Farmin Stidwell Elementary for practice and Fridays at Sandpoint Middle School for games. Practice dates and times may alter due to gym space and coach availability.

NIVBC Director and head coach Savanna Scott, along with volunteers, will help run drills and games. The goal of the program is to help young athletes learn the basic fundamentals and game skills, gain confidence in their athletic abilities, and learn teamwork skills — all while playing in a casual and fun environment that is accessible to participants of all skill levels.
