ATHOL — Bonners Ferry High senior Ethan Cowell finished 34th out of 172 runners with a team-best time of 17 minutes, 24 seconds to pace the Badgers at the Timberlake Farragut Invitational held Saturday at Farragut State Park.

Freshmen Jonathan Bollschweiler (90th, 19:07), Gordon Woelfle (119th, 20:09), and Brecken Miller (137th, 20:37.20) finished 2-3-4 for the Bonners Ferry's boys, which placed 19th out of 25 scoring teams. Sophomore Brock Tuma (158th, 22:44) rounded out the scorers on the day.

For the girls, sophomore Kylie Calderone was 31st out of 114 runners with a time of 21 minutes, 18 seconds. Junior Gia Roemer (76th, 23:33), sophomore Kya Alderman (96th, 25:14), sophomore Cheyenne Schutte (101st, 25:45) and sophomore Abigail Huggins (108th, 27:33) rounded out top five for the Lady Badgers, which placed 13th out of 15 scoring teams.

The Badgers will host the Bonners Ferry Invite this Saturday.
