George Joe Hutton

George Joe Hutton, 71, passed away on Aug. 9, 2025, at his home in Libby, Montana. 

He was born on Feb. 22, 1954, in Harlem, Montana, to George and Eleanor (Lindsay) Allery.

George was raised in Libby, where he attended school, and worked various jobs prior to going into the US Navy on Aug. 14, 1975. Upon completion of Basic Training and Operations Specialist A School he was assigned to USS Richard S Edwards (DD-950), he was also assigned to the USS Coral C (CV-43). He was honorably discharged on Aug. 13,1979 at the rank of Operations Specialist Second Class.

George was preceded in death by his father Donald Hutton, sister Bette (Allery) Hill, and mother Eleanor (Lindsay) Hutton.

Survivors include his son Christopher (Morgan) Hutton, Libby Montana; siblings Donna (Dave) Parrish, Libby, Montana; Raymond (Lolita) Hutton, Libby, Montana; Cindy AuClaire, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Bruce (Catherine) Hutton, Harrah, Washington; and Grace (Tracy) Rogers. Libby, Montana.

Services will be at 1 p.m. at the Libby Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 19, 2025. 

Friends and family are invited to attend the celebration of life located at 6396 Pipe Creek Road, Libby, Montana.
