Miriam Ruth (Larson) Olson, 66, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away Sept. 7, 2025. Miriam was born April 10, 1959, in Alexandria, Minn., to Roy and Esther Larson. From a young age, Miriam’s kind heart and adventurous spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Miriam met the love of her life, Alan Olson, while attending Bible school in Minnesota. Their shared faith and connection quickly grew, and they were married April 29, 1979.

The year before, in 1978, Miriam had followed her heart to Montana, drawn by a deep love for the mountains and a spirit of adventure. It was there, surrounded by the natural beauty she cherished, that she and Alan would build a life together — one rooted in love, faith and family.

Miriam and Alan welcomed their first child, Jody Rebekah Olson, on Feb. 14, 1981. Exactly four years later, Feb. 18, 1985, their son, Aaron Jeremiah Olson, was born, completing their family.

In 2016, Miriam and Alan relocated to Kingston, Idaho, to be closer to their beloved grandchildren. Miriam cherished her role as a MeMa and loved being actively involved in their lives.

Miriam had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen and loved. She never met a stranger, and her warmth and joy were infectious. She lived life to the fullest — always ready for the next adventure, and always with a smile and an open heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Esther Larson; her beloved son, Aaron Olson; and her son-in-law, JD Scribner.

Miriam is survived by her devoted husband, Alan Olson; her daughter, Jody Scribner; and her cherished grandchildren, Chase and Kinlee Scribner. She is also survived by her siblings: Phil Larson (Marlene), Nathan Larson (Ruth), Dave Larson (Vicki), Norm Larson (Gaylene), Kristi Maltby (Craig), and Pete Larson (Linda).

Miriam’s life was a blessing to all who knew her. Her legacy of love, laughter and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Family gatherings will be held next summer in Montana and Idaho.
