PREP GOLF: Sandpoint competes at Lewiston Invite

LEWISTON — Senior Micah Young carded a team-best 16-over-par 88 to lead the Bulldogs at the Lewiston Invite held Tuesday at the Lewiston Golf and Country Club.
Junior Bode Eacret and senior Cooper Zimmerman shot 89's while senior Logan Roos fired in a 95 for the Sandpoint boys, which finished sixth out of six scoring teams with a team score of 361. Senior Everett Gilman recorded a score of 91 playing as an individual.
For the girls, Hannah Majors shot a team-best 99 to finish tied for sixth out of 30 golfers. Hailey Gove registered a career-best score of 111, Grace Loutzenhiser a 119 and Cadence Skibitsky a 121 for the Lady Bulldogs, which finished tied for fifth out of six scoring teams with a team score of 450.
Sandpoint will tee off again Monday when they host the Bulldog Invitational at The Idaho Club.
