HARRISON — Freshman Kiylah Anderson shined behind the service line with a team-high eight aces, junior Nora-Jean Hoy racked up a team-high 10 kills and four aces of her own and the Lady Cats won their third straight match Tuesday night with a sweep of the Lady Warriors (25-17, 25-12, 25-17) in non-league game held at Kootenai High.

Freshman Vanessa Rogier added seven kills and four digs while Anderson, who is nearing 200 assists on the season, set up a team-high 17 assists for Clark Fork, which was without senior outside hitters Aurora Lane and Piper Scarlett on the night. Scarlett, nursing an injury, did play a limited role as a serve specialist and chalked up three aces on just seven attempts.

"The physical leadership tonight really needed to come from our middles, and it did," Clark Fork High head coach Lyndsie Kiebert-Carey said. "Nora-Jean and Vanessa were impressive in how smart they played. They had a job to do while our seniors were out, and they took that job seriously. Kiylah was steady as always... she’s a quiet leader who anchors us."

Kiebert-Carey also noted that senior Azlyn Anderson and sophomore Elyssa Raynor, typically defensive specialists, stepped up big time in the absence of Lane and Scarlett.

"I challenged them to be consistent and intentional in their play, and they were," coach Kiebert-Carey said. "I am so proud of how they stepped up."

Clark Fork (4-4) will look to keep things rolling Thursday when they host Lakeside, who they fell by a score of 3-2 in their season opener, for an important 2A Scenic Idaho Conference matchup.
