The Bigfork cross country teams showed both front-end talent and depth at the Browning Invite on Saturday.

Senior Noah Hamilton-Dixon cracked the top 10 in the boys race, placing ninth overall in 17:56.60. He was closely followed by senior teammate Nic Gustavson, who ran a personal-best 18:01.97 for 10th place. Both runners gave the Vikings a strong presence near the front of a competitive field.

Junior Otto Schurke added a top-25 finish in 23rd at 19:52.07, while classmate Fisher Sliter crossed in 38th (21:30.44). Sophomore Callen Ballard rounded out Bigfork’s scoring five in 45th with a personal-best 23:58.30.

On the girls side, freshman Toren Wenz stole the show, winning the varsity race outright in 20:55.45. Wenz held off a pack that included Cut Bank senior Stella Wahl and Columbia Falls standout Ashley Andrews.

Bigfork’s depth came through in the mid-pack with sophomore Naomi Elwell (30th, 27:27.98), sophomore Colbie Sullivan (31st, 27:28.35), and senior Shannon Woll (32nd, 27:36.91) all finishing within seconds of each other.
