Barbara Maree Osmun, 86

Barbara Maree Osmun, 86, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was born in St. Maries, Idaho, on Feb. 27, 1939, to Robert and Grace Vercoe. She grew up in Plummer, Idaho. After graduating, she became a cosmetologist. She married Joseph Osmun on June 25, 1961.

She is survived by her children: Robert (Kim) Osmun, Rick Osmun and Sherry (Mike) Vorderbrueggen. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Kyle Osmun, Keshia Gilbert, Ashley Vorderbrueggen, Kellen Vorderbrueggen, Shelby Osmun and Emily Connole; her great-grandchildren: Taylor and Landon Gilbert, RJ and Zeva Allen, Courtni Vorderbrueggen and Lilyanna Hammer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Osmun; her parents; her granddaughter, Courtni Osmun; her sister, Saundra Burlingame; and her brothers, Samuel and Nick Vercoe.

Barbara was a hairdresser in Colfax, Wash., for many years before moving to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was a member of the Eagle Auxiliary, starting in Colfax, then in Spokane Valley. She held many positions, from Past State Officer, State Mother for Diane and was in the Hall of Fame.

She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Per her wishes, no services will be held.
