LEWISTON — Lake City sophomore Danika Thompson shot an 87 to earn girls medalist honors, leading the Timberwolves to the team title at the Lewiston Invitational at Lewiston Golf and Country Club on Tuesday.
Lake City shot a 391 to beat Lakeland by 12 shots for the team title.
Lake City’s boys finished second with a 318, eight shots behind Lewiston.
“Super proud of both teams today," Lake City boys coach Nik Bjurstrom said. "They battled on a tough course. Excited for the girls to get a win. They played great and had some fun which really showed today. Good to see the hard work pay off for Danika too, it is very deserved.”
Lewiston’s Colt Walker shot an even-par 72 to earn boys medalist honors.
