Polson senior Max Milton continued his blistering start to the season, firing a 10-under 62 in route to medalist honors at the 2025 Kalispell Invitational, held Sept. 10–11 at Village Greens and Buffalo Hill golf courses.
Milton’s two-day total of 137 (66-71) edged a trio of golfers at 138 and set the tone for the Pirates, who placed fourth in a highly competitive boys’ field that featured many of the state’s top AA programs.
Milton’s round at Village Greens featured a dazzling back nine, where he birdied six straight holes (Nos. 7–12), eagled the par-4 13th, and added another birdie at 16. He carded par on 17 and 18 to close out the lowest round of the tournament.
The Pirates backed him with another top-15 finish from sophomore Carson Emerson, who tied for 12th with a steady 76-74—150. With Milton and Emerson leading the way, Polson posted a team score of 296-309—605, finishing ahead of every Western A team in the field and trailing only Missoula Sentinel, Glacier, and Helena Capital.
On the girls’ side, Polson placed ninth overall at 427-422—849 in a field dominated by Whitefish (727) and Hamilton (751).
