Movie Night at the Museum screens adventure fantasy ‘Time Bandits’
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 2 months, 2 weeks AGO
Take a time-traveling voyage Sept. 23 at Movie Night at the Museum with the screening of “Time Bandits.”
Terry Gilliam’s 1981 adventure fantasy centers around Kevin (Craig Warnock), a young boy fascinated by history who gets mixed up with six dwarves who burst into his room in the middle of the night with a map charting holes in the fabric of time. He has no choice but to join them.
Little does he know that they’re on a hunt to steal treasure from various time periods, while the Supreme Being gives chase. Encounters along the way with Robin Hood, Napoleon, and King Agamemnon fill out the journey.
The trip of a lifetime includes imagination, adventure, and history.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the clock starts ticking at 7 p.m. when the show begins. Host and educator Jacob Thomas will provide prescreening remarks.
Admission and popcorn are free. Soda, water, beer and wine are available for purchase. Seating is provided, but guests are welcome to bring their own cushions and seating.
