PREP ROUNDUP: Wildcats sweep Badgers in nonleague volleyball

BONNERS FERRY — Aleah Philp had eight kills and four aces for the Kellogg Wildcats in a 25-11, 25-16, 25-12 win over the Bonners Ferry Badgers in a nonleague match at Bonners Ferry High on Wednesday. 

Jordyn Stutzke had 14 digs, Ella Yrjana 10 assists and three aces and Gretah Angle 10 assists for Kellogg (8-0), which hosts Orofino on Friday. 

Bonners Ferry is 1-10.

Junior midfielder Anthony Haler had a goal and assist for Coeur d’Alene Charter (6-0), which travels to St. Maries on Saturday. 

“I was happy with how we started today,” Coeur d’Alene Charter coach Craig Daigle said. “Brooks and Elliot (Engles) worked really well together all game and Anthony Haler and Taylor Smith controlled the middle of the field.”
