Public Notice for Sole Source Procurement  The City of Post Falls owns and operates the Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) in Post Falls, Idaho. In accordance with Idaho Code 67-2808(2), the City of Post Falls City Council has determined that there is only one (1) vendor reasonably available for the addition of dewatering equipment at the WRF.   Proper functioning of the dewatering system is critical to the ability of the WRF to maintain wastewater treatment, comply with its discharge permit to the Spokane River, and protect water quality and public health. The vendor for the existing dewatering equipment is BDP Industries. The City Council has determined that due to the specialized nature of the system, the compatibility of equipment, components, accessories, and replacement parts is of paramount concern to the overall function, performance, and efficiency of the WRF. As such, the City Council is hereby declaring BDP Industries is the sole source for purchase of the additional dewatering equipment.   Public notice is hereby given by publication of this notice in the Coeur d’Alene Press at least fourteen (14) days prior to a contract with BDP Industries being presented to the City of Post Falls City Council for review and approval.
