PREP FOOTBALL: Kellogg wins a wild one over Timberlake in OT

SPIRIT LAKE — Kellogg’s Draeden Taylor caught a 10-yard pass from Porter Lewis in overtime to help the Kellogg Wildcats fight off the Timberlake Tigers 56-48 in a nonleague game at Van Tuinstra Memorial Field on Friday. 

Mason Shively scored on an 8-yard touchdown run to give Timberlake a 48-40 lead before the Wildcats tied the game late on an 8-yard touchdown pass Porter Lewis to Andrew Lewis. 

Timberlake quarter Ryker Brennan threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns and running back Westin Herbert ran for 139 yards and a touchdown. 

Kellogg (2-1) travels to Bonners Ferry next Friday. 

Timberlake (0-5) travels to St. Maries next Friday.

MOSCOW — The visiting Saints (3-1) suffered their first loss, falling to the Knights (4-1) in nonleague play.

Grant Clemens threw a pair of touchdown passes for Coeur du Christ, an 82-yarder to Greg Hayes in the first quarter and a 9-yarder to Beckett Beyer in the third.

Coeur du Christ plays host to Lakeside next Friday at the Marimn Health Coeur Center in Worley.
