It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Trish Shallest Baker, who departed this life on Aug. 7, 2025. Born in Kalispell and a longtime Seattle resident, Trish lived a beautiful and meaningful life. Her radiant spirit and undeniable resilience touched everyone who had the privilege to know her. Her passion for spirituality, her love for making music and her fierce ability to connect with anyone meant that no one walked away from a conversation with Trish without knowing they had made a lifelong friend.

She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her love, laughter, and dedication to her friends and family. Trish's memory is carried forward by her loving parents, Terry and Patricia Baker; her dog, Ruby; countless incredible friends and her siblings and their families: Shallene and Matt Brubaker and their daughter, Samantha and her family Max, Beau and Raelynn and their son, Dalton and his family, Maddi and Nora; Jolene and Davey Maguire and their sons, Declan and Lincoln, Tony and Jaclyn Baker and their sons, Gavin, Ethan and Owen and her brother, Jerrette Baker.

In lieu of flowers, if you want to honor her support local music, craft something colorful, take time to watch the waves and listen to the birds, wear something sparkly or purple (or better yet, both), crack yourself up with some ridiculous puns, be open to what the universe has to offer, and most of all, love people whole heartedly and unconditionally.

A celebration of life for Trish will occur on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Glacier Ballroom.
