A woman accused of attacking a man with a baseball bat at a Kalispell motel in 2023 later received a mostly suspended jail sentence in Flathead County District Court.

Amanda Worth initially pleaded not guilty to one felony count of assault with a weapon in connection with the March 12, 2023, beating. But she took a deal in February 2024 that saw her agree to plead guilty to amended charges of partner or family member assault and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

In exchange for the guilty pleas, prosecutors agreed to recommend she serve a one-year sentence in the county jail with 364 days suspended for the former charge and a fully suspended 10-day sentence for the latter count.

Worth entered the guilty pleas before Judge Heidi Ulbricht on Feb. 29, 2024. Ulbricht stuck to the terms of the agreement and gave Worth credit for 58 days of time served. She set the two sentences to run concurrently.

Ulbricht also ordered Worth to pay $185 in court fines and fees and undergo 40 hours of counseling.

Kalispell Police officers crossed paths with Worth after heading to the motel about 1:03 a.m. for reports of a woman screaming, according to court documents. A bleeding man standing outside one of the rooms accused Worth of attacking him with a bat.

An "extremely intoxicated and uncooperative" Worth later admitted to assaulting the man, court documents alleged.
