Balanced attack lifts Whitefish volleyball over Ronan

The Whitefish Bulldogs put together a balanced performance Thursday night, downing Ronan in four sets in Northwest A volleyball action.
The Bulldogs won 26-24, 25-14, 20-25 and 25-14, leaning on strong contributions from multiple players. Camry Kelch led the way with 10 kills, 14 digs and an ace, while Annabelle Barrile and Sol Holmquist each chipped in seven kills to round out the attack.
Setter Allie Shors orchestrated the offense with precision, recording 26 assists to go with eight digs, a block, three kills and three aces. Barrile also proved effective from the service line, firing in five of Whitefish’s nine aces.
Defensively, Eleanor Archie had 13 digs while Edalie Petersen and Stella Frisbee each tallied two blocks to help slow Ronan’s offense. Whitefish totaled 33 kills and 46 digs as a team, showing consistency both at the net and in the back row. The victory gave the Bulldogs another key conference win and demonstrated the balance and energy that make them a tough opponent. Whitefish is currently 3-2 and 2-1 in conference play.
Lady Bulldogs Fall to Bigfork
Whitefish started strong but could not hold off Bigfork’s balanced attack Tuesday, falling 25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-10 in a four-set Northwest A volleyball battle.
The Bulldogs kept pace early behind the efforts of Camry Kelch, who led the team with 10 kills and added 14 digs. Edolie Petersen gave Whitefish another option at the net with five kills and five total blocks. Sol Holmquist and Annabelle Barrile each contributed offensively, Holmquist with four kills and Barrile with three, while Barrile also served up two of the team’s five aces.
Setter Allie Shors directed the offense with 20 assists, while also collecting 14 digs and an ace. Eleanor Archie anchored the back row with 16 digs, and Aubrey Talbot added 10 to help the Bulldogs finish with 64 digs as a team.
Despite being out-hit 34 kills to 22, Whitefish showed resilience.
