On Sept 15, 2025 the angels took our beloved wife and mother, Edith Claudine Whisennand. She was born on Aug. 22, 1947 in LaGrande, Ore.
From there she moved to White Sulpher Springs with her family who then moved to Plains in 1961. There she met the love of her life, Charles Whisennand. They were married on Sept 29, 1963. Her life was spent running a trucking business with her husband.
She was a proud member of Eastern Star for 59 years. Worthy Matron of Ideal Chapter #40 numerous times.
She is survived by her husband of 62 yrs, Charles Whisennand and her daughters Judy Whisennand, Theresa Lindeman, Leah Nompleggi, LaShonda Harless, and Carla Farmer. In addition to eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Eastern Star Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Plains on Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Plains Cemetery. There will be a potluck dinner to follow provided by the Eastern Star at the United Methodist Church Plains.
