'Lake People' is a madcap murder mystery

A family reunion turns into a real upside-down adventure in Northwoods Performing Arts' "Attack of the Lake People."

The theater group's annual play, "Attack" explores what happens when everybody is a suspect when someone unexpectedly dies. Directed by Terri Caldwell, “Attack” features an eccentric rural slice of life full of oddball characters, funny lines and a few unexpected twists. 

The play is written by Pat Cook, who also wrote “Barbecuing Hamlet.” It is being produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing Co. 

Scheduled performances are on Oct. 10-11, 17-18, and 24-25. 

Dinner show tickets are $35 per person, and $14 for show-only tickets. Senior and children's tickets are $12. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dining service begins at 6:30, and the curtain opens at 7:30.

The only way to figure out the mystery of this murder is to head to the Circle Moon Theater, have a great meal, give up some belly laughs, and follow the clues. The theater, 3645 Highway 211, is located 3 1/2 miles north of Highway 2.
