Savage Heat nudge past Bobcats

HOT SPRINGS – It was a seesaw match but, in the end, the momentum swung the home team’s way.
The Hot Springs Savage Heat defeated the Superior Bobcats 23-25, 25-14, 25-18, 17-25, 15-10 in District 14C volleyball action in Hot Springs Tuesday.
Up this week for the coach Maria Begger and her Savage Heat are a home match with Stillwater Christian Tuesday and an away match at Philipsburg Thursday, while coach Emily Verbanac and her Bobcats will host St. Regis Tuesday and Noxon Thursday before hitting the road for a match at Seeley-Swan Saturday.
Makenzie Reum paced the Bobcats in Hot Springs with 10 kills, 25 digs and two aces, Maryisa Swope added nine kills and two digs, Josie Crabb seven kills, seven aces and 28 digs, Maggie Haworth seven kills, six assists and 19 digs, Lily Jasper 13 digs, Perri Jasper 11 assists and two digs, Lane Digiando a kill and three digs, Lyla Beaudoin three kills, 23 assists and five digs and Ava White two digs.
Statistics for Hot Springs were not available at press time.
In other action last week, the Bobcats fell to the visiting Seeley-Swan Blackhawks in three sets Thursday.

Frank, Weaver named All-Star alternatives
