**Press Release** September 11, 2025 LAKE COUNTY ROAD RECONSTRUCTION UPDATE DUBLIN GULCH RD, LOWER MOIESE VALLEY ROAD AND NORTH RESERVOIR ROAD As a result of the previously received $13 Million dollar grant from the USDOT Federal Highway Administration, Lake County has had several projects underway to reconstruct and pave the first 1 1/3 miles of Lower Moiese Valley Road; the entirety of Dublin Gulch Road; and North Reservoir Roads including an additional bike lane. The good news: The long summer disruptions on Dublin Gulch and Moiese Vally Roads is nearly over! Paving is complete and guardrails and striping work is expected to be finished within the next week or two! Restoration of vegetation and other clean-up will proceed this fall but are not expected to have any significant impacts on traffic. The Commissioners would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding through the various difficulties encountered in getting these two projects complete; and are confident that the improved road conditions will be greatly appreciated. North Reservoir Road: Reconstruction of this 3.6-mile road started this week. The finished road will be widened to include a 4-foot, striped bike lane, including a separate bridge structure to connect with Back Road. It is expected to be a 6-to-8-week project. Cyclists are asked to avoid using this route during construction. Motorists, including those accessing the transfer station off of North Reservoir from the West, are advised to remain aware of construction – especially between Skyline and the entrance to the Transfer Station - and should plan their route using HWY 93, where a lane should remain open to the entrance.
