A Gaelic Storm is forecasted to hit the Wachholz College Center in a return performance on Oct. 24.

Performing for more than 20 years with 14 album releases, the band has gained a reputation for their energetic renditions of traditional Irish and Scottish music and Celtic rock originals.

Gaelic Storm kicked off their career as a pub band in Santa Monica, California, in the 1990s. One performance led to their discovery and subsequent appearance in the blockbuster film, “Titanic,” as the steerage band, laying the groundwork for a career that would find them topping the Billboard World Chart six times and regularly headlining the largest Irish Festivals across the country, according to their bio at gaelicstorm.com.

The band attributes their continued success to their fanatical audience and it’s a well-diversified crowd. Country music fans adore the storytelling, bluegrass-heads love the instrumentals, Celtic fans love their devotion to tradition and the rockers are drawn to the passion with which they play.

“The fans are the ones that have given us this life. We’re here for them," frontman Patrick Murphy said.

The show starts at 7 p.m. in McClaren Hall. Ticket prices range from $39.60 to $55, fees included. Tickets may be purchased at wccmt.org or by calling the ticket office at 756-1400.

The Wachholz College Center is located at 795 Grandview Dr., Kalispell.
