Eric Leon Tinnell

Eric Leon Tinnell, husband, father and friend, passed away in Kalispell, Montana on Sept. 11, 2025.

He was born in Quincy, Florida on May 12, 1971. Eric was a very loving soul and had a big heart. He would gladly give the shirt off his back, often putting others before himself.

Eric was known for his tireless work ethic beginning at the young age of 18. He worked as a welder with his uncle for 16 years, while also working as grounds keeper for 14 years. He worked for the forest service land management and fire lines, lead many forest service training classes, and all while raising a family. He also worked in boat assembly for one year and as a truck driver for seven years before making his way up to Montana to become a personal care attendant for eight years. 

The last two years of his work career, Eric devoted to serving his community as a medical equipment tech through Lincare and it was his honor to serve his community. His steadfast character and generous spirit touched many lives.

Eric married his wife, Charity Tinnell, on Dec. 4, 2021.

He battled many medical issues in the last year and 8 months before going to be with the Lord.

Eric is survived by his wife, Charity Tinnell; his daughters: Andrea and Ayla Tinnell in Florida; stepchildren, David and Hannah Hedge in Montana; two grandchildren; brother Dominic Rose; Uncle Ben (Susie) Burch; Uncle Donald (Kayla) Tinnell Sr. and children; cousin Donald (Crystal) Tinnell Jr. and children. 

He is preceded in death by his father Otis Tinnell; mother Marcie Burch and brother Timmothy Tinnell.

A memorial service will be held at Libby Christian Church at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, with a small lunch reception following.
