Joshua Allen Nelson, 40, earned his angel wings on Sept. 15, 2025.
He was born March 1, 1985, in Libby, Montana, to Jim and Brenda. He attended school in Libby, Montana, and graduated with the Logger Class of 2003.
Being a jack of all trades he held various jobs before settling in Spring Creek, Nevada in 2012 to work at the gold mines. Josh always had a love for the outdoors and lived life “Josh Style,” whether he was snowmobiling, boating or riding off-road. He was a free spirit and lived life to the fullest in the outdoors.
He took pride in taking a new machine and replacing all the stock materials with his own creations, making it his unique style. Josh loved all of his family and friends. There are countless stories of gatherings and laughter where he would always be cracking everyone up. Unselfish in nature, you could count on him to help anyway he could.
Josh married Laura Nichols and welcomed daughter Lexi into his life with open arms. He adored his family and doted on them with all his heart.
Josh is survived by Laura and Lexi, his parents Jim (Grace) Nelson and Brenda (Kenny) DeBerg, in-laws Mike and Kim Wideman, grandpa Everett Nelson, siblings Logan Nelson, Kaitlyn Nelson, Elise (Tom) Hansen, Corina Juarez, brother-in-law Michael Wideman and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandma and grandpa Clairmont, grandma Nelson, uncle Bob and aunt Elaine.
A celebration of Josh’s life will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at the Spring Creek Boys and Girls Club (200 Springfield Parkway).
