HAYDEN LAKE — Freshman Ella Mahlum carded a career-best 99 to place 22nd out of 40 golfers as the Sandpoint girls placed seventh out of eight scoring teams at the Susan Mitchell Memorial Tournament held Monday at the Hayden Lake Country Club.

Hannah Majors tallied a 101, Evey Walker a 104, and Alison Petro a 111 for the Lady Bulldogs, which finished with a team score of 415 on the par-69 course.

For the boys, seniors Tyler Weisz and Logan McGrann shot 88's to tie for 18th out of 40 golfers, Miller Ely fired in an 89, and senior Everett Gilman recorded a 92 for Sandpoint's boys, which played at the Avondale Golf Club in Hayden and placed sixth out of seven scoring teams with a team score of 357. Beckett Fuller shot an 89 playing as an individual. 

Sandpoint returns to action Friday and Saturday for the 5A Inland Empire League District Championship set to be held the University of Idaho Golf Course in Moscow.
