GRANGEVILLE — Ella Yrjana had eight kills and four aces for the visiting Wildcats in a 25-20, 25-16, 25-9 Central Idaho League win over the Bulldogs.
“Playing after that long drive is always so tough,” Kellogg coach Hollie Yrjana said. “We came out pretty error ridden in the first set, but refocused and calmed down to play our own game in the second two sets. We had some great serving runs from Paige Yrjana, Aleah Philp and Ella Yrjana.”
Gretah Angle had six kills and four assists, Dani Henrikson six kills, Jordyn Stutzke eight digs and Paige Yrjana two blocks for Kellogg.

SPOKANE — The Kellogg Wildcats finished tied for fifth out of 64 teams at the Sheridan-Welch Crossover Classic on Saturday.
The Wildcats entered the tournament with a pristine 14-0 record and won four more matches before falling to eventual champion Gonzaga Prep.

WALLACE — Junior Kayden Stutzke had 19 assists, seven aces and three digs as the Miners swept the Warriors 25-9, 25-3, 25-20 in nonleague play at Kirby Krulitz Court.
Kylee Phillips added 10 kills and five digs for Wallace. Megan Hull had five kills, five aces and four digs, Olivia Berry three aces and six digs, Anna Rehnborg six aces and four digs.

CLARK FORK — Senior Megan Hull had 17 kills, 22 digs and two aces for the Miners in a 26-24, 22-25, 26-24, 25-16 Scenic Idaho Conference win over the Wampus Cats at Clark Fork High.
Senior Kylee Phillips had eight kills, three blocks and 20 digs, senior Aubrey Birdsell 17 assists and 11 digs, junior Khepri Wood six kills and two blocks and senior Olivia Berry 13 digs for Wallace.

HARRISON FLATS — Senior Claire Cook had nine service points and the host Warriors notched their first victory of the season, beating the Tigers 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 25-16 in North Star League play.
Brooklyn Charles added five kills, Chloe Dorman three blocks for Kootenai.
“The girls had so much intensity in their play tonight,” Kootenai coach Elexus Moore-Rich said.
“You could tell the girls really wanted it.”

PLUMMER — Senior Kimberly Pluff had 10 kills, five assists, six digs and four aces as the host Knights swept the Tigers 25-11, 25-13, 25-5 in nonleague play at Ron Miller Court.
Tylah Lambert added 21 assists, nine aces, five kills and four digs for Lakeside. Rayna Schatz had five kills, four aces and three digs, Saydee Peone eight kills, six digs and two aces, Nona Ryanna Ortivez two kills, Allisue Hendrickx four digs, Cassidy Gorr five digs.
“My girls had lots of fun tonight and it was good to see the smiles,” Lakeside coach Devyn Moore said. “My seniors, Kim, Tylah and Rayna, really connected and it showed; they played an amazing net game and even showed out in the back row. Big aggressive swings tonight from Saydee. Allisue and Cassidy had great coverage in the back.”
Next up for Lakeside is a Scenic Idaho Conference match Tuesday at home vs. Genesis Prep.

TROY — Sophomore quarterback Cooper Miller accounted for five touchdowns, three rushing for the Miners in a nonleague win over the Trojans.
Sophomore Lennox Radford ran for two touchdowns and sophomore Ashton Holbert had a rushing touchdown for Wallace (5-0), which hosts Genesee next Friday at the Sather Field Athletic Complex in Silverton.
Junior Marley Pierce had two sacks for Wallace, which forced two turnovers.

Bonners Ferry 49 Kellogg 7
BONNERS FERRY – The Wildcats’ inability to finish drives and stop the Badgers’ vaunted rushing attack was their undoing during a matchup of former Intermountain League Rivals.
Bonners Ferry amassed 260 yards on the ground, including 143 yards from Keenan Maas, who ripped off an 86-yard score to open the game.
The Badgers led 35-0 after the first quarter and 49-7 at halftime, fueled by Kellogg’s five turnovers, including three interceptions and two fumbles, one of each returned for a touchdown.
Kellogg had several long drives, but only found the endzone one time when sophomore backup quarterback Cyrus Reed connected with Preston Graaskamp following a Bonners Ferry fumble.
Kellogg (2-2, 1-1) hosts Moscow this Friday for homecoming.

NINE MILE FALLS — Timberlake junior Lola Eggleston won the girls 5,000-meter race at the Lake Spokane Invitational, finishing in 19 minutes, 24.60 seconds to lead the Tigers to the team title at Lakeside High.
Senior Vanessa McLachlan (second) and junior Emily Wright (ninth) finished in the top 10 for Timberlake, which finished with 39 points, with Lakeside (Wash.) finishing second with 55.
Timberlake junior Caleb Royce was runnerup in the boys race in 16:15.10, leading the Tiger boys to the team title with 48 points. Mead was second with 51 points.

WALLACE SWIMMING

COEUR D’ALENE — Wallace High School’s swim team delivered a standout performance at the 2025 Bulldog Duals, held at the Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene. The meet featured personal bests, school records and a strong display of the team’s dedication.
Senior Alice Masiello broke two school records, finishing the 100-yard butterfly in 1:12.63 and the 500-yard freestyle in 6:34.40.
Annika Kessler set a new school record in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:54.07. She also earned a personal best in the 100-yard freestyle, alongside Aliyah Birdsell, who also set a personal record in that event.
Other swimmers posted personal bests, including Birdsell and Aaron Berry in the 50-yard freestyle, Sophia Berry in the 100-yard backstroke, Aaron Berry again in the 100-yard breaststroke.
“Our swimmers have been putting in the work, and it is paying off. These records are just the beginning,” said head coach Bryan Stepro. “The Bulldog Duals marked a turning point for Wallace High’s swim team. With multiple records broken and personal milestones reached, the team showed its progress and potential. The season continues, and Wallace swimmers are just getting started.”
