ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Cadence Skibitsky, Sandpoint Softball

This week's Athlete of the Week is Cadence Skibitsky of Sandpoint Softball.

A 5-foot-8-inch center fielder, Cadence went a combined 5-for-6 with three doubles, a three-run home run, six runs scored and nine RBIs as the Lady Bulldogs swept Thompson Falls in their home-opening doubleheader this past Saturday. The standout left-hander is batting .350 so far this season, to go along with a .478 on-base percentage, and has recorded a team-high five extra-base hits.
