Dynamic lineup slated at the Wachholz in April

More than 10 shows featuring an eclectic mix of world-class performances spanning jazz, contemporary dance, bluegrass, Celtic and country music are scheduled at the Wachholz College Center this month.
The month kicks off April 8 with legendary jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis and his quartet. After more than three decades of existence with minimal personnel changes, this celebrated ensemble is revered for its uncompromising range of original compositions and interpretations of jazz and popular classics. Known for his powerful performances and unparalleled musicianship, the Branford Marsalis Quartet brings an evening of sophistication and spontaneity that promises to captivate both longtime jazz fans and new listeners alike.
On April 11, step into the mesmerizing world of MOMIX, a dance and visual illusion company, in “Alice.” Known for their illusionistic style and athletic choreography, MOMIX blends dance, acrobatics and multimedia to create a dreamlike experience. “Alice” offers a journey down the rabbit hole in this interpretation of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland.”
Later in the month, country music fans can look forward to a high-energy performance by the Eli Young Band on April 14. With chart-topping hits and a reputation for engaging live shows, the band delivers a night of heartfelt lyrics, infectious melodies and dance-worthy anthems. It’s the perfect way to round out a month of unforgettable entertainment.
