Protein is important for building and repairing muscle tissue. A variety of protein sources provide different vitamins and minerals.

Some good protein sources are seafood, meat, poultry, eggs, dried beans, peas, lentils, nuts, seeds and soy products. Dried beans and lentils provide fiber, and beef provides iron and zinc, according to the “Heart Health for Older Americans” article by the Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services.

The bake sale will be on April 3 from 12-4 p.m and on April 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Saturday sale will include Easter Bunny activities along with pie and coffee for $5.

Bingo is on April 11 at 2 p.m.

Gentle Yoga is on Wednesday, 1-2:15 p.m. If you are interested, please call Bonnie Kiser at 406-253-0177.

Main dishes served at the center include fish and rice, April 3; beans with ham, April 10; and egg salad sandwiches, April 14.

Everyone is welcome at our meals (young and old). Enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation. If you would like a takeout meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday, and by 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays. Meals are at 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays, and at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays. Menus for the month are available in the center's entryway.
