Mary Frances Pickolick, 86

Mary Frances Pickolick, 86, passed away peacefully March 25, 2026, in Spokane Valley, Wash. Mary Frances was born Aug. 15, 1939, the daughter of John Pickolick and Mary (Damiano) Pickolick. Mary Frances was a lifelong resident of Kellogg until January 2023, when she moved to Spokane Valley to be closer to family.

Mary Frances was a proud graduate of Kellogg High School, Class of 1957. Mary Frances worked in a variety of businesses, including hardware and grocery, until she became a dispatcher for the Kellogg Police Department. She later worked for the Shoshone County Assessor’s Office as a secretary and, lastly, for 23 years as a dispatcher/communications officer for the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office. She retired in 1998.

Mary Frances was a member of Mountain View Congregational Church in Kellogg. She followed Gonzaga basketball and the Seattle Mariners. She liked to garden, read, do crossword puzzles and she loved to sing with her beautiful voice. 

Mary Frances was predeceased by her parents and her brother, John Ernest (Buddy) Pickolick, and several aunts and uncles. She leaves behind her sister and husband, Kathleen and Gregory Wilson of Spokane Valley; two nieces and one nephew, Erynn Torrey of Vancouver, Wash., Annalee Sharrett and Joel Wilson, both of Spokane; and four grand-nieces and one grand-nephew.

In honoring her last wishes, there will be no services. Interment of ashes will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Kellogg. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the Shoshone County Cancer Support Center.
