Phyllis M. Mohr

Phyllis M. Mohr was born in Newald, Wisconsin, June 12, 1933, to Winford and Matilda Aschinger. 

She was the second of seven children. Phyllis passed away on March 28, 2026, she was 92.

On Dec. 8, 1951, she married Merlyn Mohr and together they had three children while in Wisconsin. In 1955 they made their first trip to Libby, stayed a while, and then returned to Wisconsin. In August 1961 they moved back to Libby and stayed.

Throughout her life she was a devout Catholic and rarely missing a Sunday Mass. Phyllis was also involved with Catechism, as well as a Cub Scout Leader. She worked for many years at the Community Center and Libby Food Pantry.

Phyllis loved being a mother and grandmother. Kids were one of her greatest joys. She was an excellent cook, and her house was always immaculate. She also loved returning to Wisconsin to be with family and friends.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Merlyn; sons Dale (Vickie), Bruce (Lisa), and Mark (Shonna); grandsons Travis, Brad (Ashley), and Mitch; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Virg (Carol) Aschinger and Jim (Dot) Aschinger; sisters Suzanne (Dick) Hupf and Dode (Jeep) Enders; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; mother; and two brothers Doug Aschinger and Paul (Alice) Aschinger.
