Rexford man dies in Highway 37 crash with deer

A 43-year-old Rexford man died after being injured in an crash last month on Highway 37 in Lincoln County.
According to a report by Montana Highway Patrol trooper Virgil Sadewasser, the man was driving a Polaris RZR XP north at mile marker 56 at about 9:32 a.m. March 2 when it struck a deer. The Polaris swerved to the left when it went over the guardrail and rolled.
The vehicle came to rest on its passenger side. The man, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. He was taken to Logan Health in Kalispell before dying of his injuries March 29.
Alcohol, drugs and speed were not suspected factors in the crash.
